The Atmel®AVR® ATmega8 is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR RISC architecture. By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega8 achieves throughputs approaching 1MIPS per MHz, allowing the system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed. The Atmega8A is an 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller from Atmel that includes 8KB ISP flash memory, 1KB SRAM, 512B EEPROM, a 7-channel/10-bit A/D converter (TQFP and QFN/MLF), and debug WIRE for on-chip debugging.
