BTB16-600BW series are appropriate for general use mains power AC switching and are offered in through-hole or surface mount packages. In applications like static relays, heating control, or induction motor starting circuits, they can be employed as an ON/OFF function. They are also advised for phase control operations in speed controllers for appliance motors and light dimmers. Due to their high commutation performances, snubber less versions (BTA/BTB...W and T1635) are especially suggested for usage with inductive loads. Phase angle or on/off functionality for devices such static relays, light dimmer switches, and appliance motor speed controller.
